FESTIVE CELEBRATION OF CHILDREN’s DAY
IN THAILAND

Hello!!
It’s nice to see you again, my readers 💙

Well, like usual I always went to Chiengraknoi school at 7 am. I was so excited to meet my cutie kiddos. Every time I came, the teachers always greeted me with a friendly smile.

I felt there was something different in that day….

Hmmm, there were so many gifts such as dolls, bicycles,
stationary, and so forth.

Wait, wait *saw date on the watch Haha
Ahaa this is 2nd Saturday In January it means we would celebrate Children’s Day. Hurayy. . .

In 2019 children day is celebrated on Friday and Saturday, 11 – 12 January 2019.

If you wanna know more about this event let’s check it out!!

I'll inform u about history of children day in Thailand and around the world.

History of Children’s Day around the world

The forerunner of International Children’s Day stems from a pastor named Dr. Charles Leonard, pastor of the Universalist Church of Redeemer in Chelsea Massachusetts. Dr. Leonard held a special serving only for children.

For the first time International Children’s Day was planned in England on 20th November 1954. The aim of this celebration is to encourage the welfare of children.

In Thailand, Children’s Day always held on the 2nd Saturday in January. It’s called Wan Deck. Wan Deck is used to promote the child rights, healthy, education, and other right that children have.

Well good readers, now I'll show u Children day in Chiengraknoi School in Thailand.

We started with the flag ceremony at 08.00 am. After that my Cooperating Teacher invited me to the school hall. There were so many students and teachers in there. We were waiting for the President Director to open this event.

President Director opened and showed special dance performance. I really enjoyed the dance performance of the President Director. Btw, he likes dancing and singing. He ever talked to me that, “I will teach you how to dance someday” haha.

The cutie kiddos dance performance. They made my body move 😅😅

In the middle of the performance, the committee of this event gave me coupon that could be exchanged for food freely.

Food coupon (Ice cream, Pad Thai, fried chicken, and orange juice)
I tried vanilla ice cream with sticky rice and nut toppings. It’s refreshed the mouth and sweet like me wkwk.

Eve (My patner from Philippines) tried vanilla ice cream with sticky rice and nut

OK next, this is one of the famous Thailand foods Pad Thai. Pad Thai is made with soaked dried rice noodles, which are stir-fried with eggs and chopped firm tofu, and is flavored with tamarind pulp, fish sauce, dried shrimp, garlic, red chili, pepper and served with chopped roasted peanut topping. It will be one of my favorite foods from Thailand.

Is it enough?? Nooo, there was fried chicken which waited to be eaten haha
