TEACHING PRACTICE


Based on my cooperating teacher’s schedule, I have to teach English subject in Prathom 2.

My teaching practice schedule.




Procedures of teaching

        1. 
Warm-up
  I always started the class with pray and meditation first for a few minutes to make the children more relax. I asked the students to close their eyes and pray together. Next, I checked the student’s attendance to make sure the students who attend the class or not. Then, I greeted them and played the English fun video which make the students dance and sing together. The students very excited to dance and sing together. After they felt happy and ready for learning, I played the video related to the material to build the knowledge of the students about today’s material. 
        2. 
Presentation
  I showed them the video about the various kind of animals. Not only showed them the picture and video of animal but also, I explained the name of each animal. After explaining, I asked the question such as “What animal is it?” then I asked them to answer the question.
        3. 
Practice
 After explaining the material, I gave them a quiz to check their understanding of this material. I created the multiple-choice game. I divided the students into six groups. Then, I showed the multiple-choice questions on the screen. Next, the students asked to answer the questions by raising her/his hand. The group which can answer the questions correctly will get 5 points.                              
        4. 
Productivity
  On the final lesson today, I let them to do a product of language. I asked them to match the picture and name of the animals. I showed the picture of animal. Then, I gave the flashcard of picture. After that, the students asked to draw and name the animals.

 Problem-solving

During the teaching practice for about 2 weeks, I found some problems whether comes from the student and my self as a student-teacher.

The student didn’t understand when I am talking too fast.
      -          I have to speak slowly.

The student didn’t understand the complex instruction.
      -          I have to give the simple and clear instructions by giving them some example.
        3. 
I didn’t play and explain the material using  computer when the electricity was off.
      -          I have to prepare other choices to explain the 
      material.


Classroom Management

I need to make them pay attention with me by creating an interesting explanation and games. Sometimes, I need to speak louder. One of the ways to handling the students is give them the questions, because by questioning the teacher can check the student understanding and make them pay attention with learning process.
